Membership

Coach,

Did you know that, by virtue of your position as a high school football coach in Southern California, you have the opportunity to be a part of one of the most prestigious and long-standing coaches associations in the country? The Southern California Football Coaches Association (SCFCA) was started in 1959 by a group of energetic and enthusiastic high school football coaches. The mission at the time was to provide a voice for Southern California coaches in the greater football community, and an opportunity to get together and share football knowledge for the benefit of our players and young coaches. Furthermore, this association offers many great benefits to its coaches and is continually working to provide even more.

Membership in SCFCA is open to all individuals involved in coaching football, regardless of their level of experience or expertise. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or just starting your coaching journey, we welcome you to join our association and be part of a community that shares your passion for the game.

SCFCA has been representing Southern California football coaches from the Southern Section, Los Angeles Section, and San Diego Section for over 65 years and never has there been a better time to be a member. Please Save The Date for our Annual Coaches Clinic: Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the University of La Verne. Where else can you receive such a great product at such an affordable cost–$52 for a single annual membership; $175 for a staff membership (up to 6 coaches); and $350 for a Super staff membership (up to 12 coaches)! This is a great investment for you and your staff and it will pay huge dividends over the course of the year. Please contact our Treasurer, Jason Gelber, at JGelber53@gmail.com.

Should you have any questions or require further information about our association or the membership process, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at JVondra@avhsd.org. I would be more than happy to assist you.

Sincerely,
James Vondra
2024 President
Southern California Football Coaches Association Board of Directors
